The Royal Hawaiian, Laguna Beach, Ca.

Right along pacific coast highway there is a little bit of tiki. Her name is the Royal Hawaiian, and she comes close to a decent tiki joint but doesn't quite do it.  what's with the white chairs? the place looks like a bad hotel in Florida, and just cuz of those chairs.  They've got tiki's, they've got bamboo, but please ohh please loose the chairs.  The drinks were fine, food was good and fairly inexpensive, the service was efficient, but good lord, those chairs. As far as the bar goes, forget it, stay in the restaurant portion, as the bar has an awkwardness to it and sports on TV. Did I mention the white chairs?
